Threaded flange is a kind of non-welded flange, the inner hole of flange is processed into pipe thread and connected with threaded pipe. Taking into account the structural characteristics of threaded flanges, it is not suitable for flammable, explosive and dangerous occasions. The threaded flange is suitable for pressure 0.6-4.0Mpa and diameter DN10-DN150. Except for the inner diameter thread size, the other dimensions of the threaded flange are the same as those of the flat-neck welded flange.
There are only two types of sealing surfaces for screwed flanges: flat and raised surfaces. Threaded flanges are only suitable for inch pipe series. For the threaded connection of the internal pipe of the threaded flange, the end of the steel pipe after tightening should be close to but not beyond the sealing surface of the flange.
Caution when using threaded flanges

However, when the temperature of the pipeline changes sharply or the temperature is higher than 260°C and lower than -45°C, it is recommended not to use threaded flanges to avoid leakage.
Flange composition and installation
The connection form of the flange is an assembly consisting of a pair of flanges, fasteners, gaskets and other components. The selection of flange connection should be considered according to design conditions, fluid characteristics, sealing requirements and other factors. At the same time, the selection and coordination of flanges, gaskets and fasteners should also be considered comprehensively.
1. The full-plane method should use non-metallic flat gaskets such as rubber, asbestos rubber sheets, non-asbestos fiber rubber sheets, and filled modified polytetrafluoroethylene.
2. When tightening the bolts, certain tightening steps should be followed. For the flange joint connection of important use occasions (such as high pressure, high temperature, extreme or highly hazardous media, etc.), a torque wrench or other device that controls the bolt load should be selected, and the specified tightening steps should be followed to achieve the predetermined tightening load. To ensure the sealing of the flange joint and avoid the gasket from crushing due to excessive tightening.
3. The nut should be completely screwed into the thread of the bolt or stud. In any case, the thread of the bolt or stud that is not engaged with the nut should be no more than 1 pitch.
4. For flange joints used at high or low temperatures, the thrust and moment of the pipeline or equipment, as well as the gasket seal load change and stress relaxation caused by the different thermal expansion of the components in the joint, should be taken into account, which may lead to flange joint leakage.
